Tarpley Dispute Resolutions was started as a Mediation and Dispute Resolution firm dedicated to efficient and effective dispute resolutions for businesses and individuals. As the first female African American Judge in Dallas County, Joan has been a trail blazer in the legal industry. As a practicing attorney, she worked with clients on all aspects of business matters, real estate transactions and disputes. She received mediation training through Harvard University and Pepperdine University’s - Straus Institute Of Dispute Resolution. She brings her Experienced to resolving disputes cost-effectively through the mediation process and avoiding or ending costly litigation.

Users of our services include solo practitioners, individuals, professional service firms and businesses. In addition to mediation, we also work with businesses in training and advising management on how to prevent disputes and on effective ways to resolve the disputes once they occur.

From the moment Judge Joan Tarpley is selected as the mediator in your case, you will find efficiency at Tarpley Dispute Resolutions. We willingly work with you in scheduling a mediation day and time that is acceptable to all parties. We know that counsel find our help invaluable in the scheduling of multiparty litigation. Judge Joan is prepared and familiar with your case if she has received your position paper and any supplemental documents prior to the day of your mediation. She actually enjoys the reading.

Effective

If your statements and documents arrive only one or two days before the mediation, however - depending on the amount of the material- it may prove to be impossible to get all of the reading done before mediation day. In a perfect world, Judge Joan would have all of your paper a work week before mediation. Because we cannot claim our world as perfect, please do your best to get your documents to us at least 72 hours before mediation day. There are times that we work into the night to reach a resolution. Results are what count, and we get it done.
